Honor legendary artist and activist, the late Harry Belafonte, with a calypso-inspired evening. Grammy-nominated vocalist and songwriter René Marie brings her artful storytelling to the Appel Room, leading an award-winning ensemble that features trumpet master Etienne Charles.

Experience her acclaimed ensemble interpret surprise selections and classic protest tunes like “Jump in the Line,” “Man Smart (Woman Smarter),” “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song),” “Jamaica Farewell,” and more.
