This April, Jazz at Lincoln Center celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month, spotlighting the rich history behind our music and the diverse voices shaping its legacy. Join us in the House of Swing and via our virtual community as we pay tribute to this incredible art form.

Join us on mainstages with The Real Ambassadors: Armstrong and Brubeck, where Dave and Iola Brubeck’s 1962 album featuring Louis Armstrong lands in the Appel Room; Family Concert: Who is Gerry Mulligan?, JALC’s exciting concert series designed for young audiences; Paquito D’Rivera: Celebrating 70+ Years in Music, where NEA Jazz Master Paquito D’Rivera brings to life the eclectic fusion of his extensive travels with improvisations and multinational rhythms; Contemporary Jazz Masterpieces: The JLCO with Wynton Marsalis, celebrating cutting-edge standards and contemporary masterpieces; and to round out the month, Jazz at Lincoln Center Gala, an unforgettable concert bringing together jazz lovers, world-class musicians, and rising stars to honor the legacy of the iconic pianist, composer, and bandleader Duke Ellington.

Additionally, Dizzy’s Club presents a searing lineup of intergenerational artists who are moving the music in new directions. Highlights include Gillian Margot: For Love of Carmen paying tribute to jazz icon Carmen McRae. Piano master Benny Green returns to Dizzy’s for two nights of intimate, swinging solo performances; and the Future of Jazz Orchestra ignites the stage with La Luz Del Son, a powerhouse ensemble bridging the sounds of Cuba and Philadelphia.

And, in the jazz tradition of staying out and jamming late into the night, check out Late Night Sessions in Dizzy’s Club Thursday-Saturday at 11 p.m., with post-set jam sessions.
