Journey Through Jazz Part VI: The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra
ABOUT THE CONCERT
Featuring music direction from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra’s Grammy-nominated bassist and composer Carlos Henriquez, Journey Through Jazz: Part VI invites listeners into the evolution of Afro-Cuban sounds—a lineage that has elevated countless styles of American music. Experience bright horn lines and bold harmonies, beautiful lyricism, stratospheric improvisation, and the elastic syncopation of clave as Henriquez and his fellow artists share the stories behind Afro-Cuban music.
